I'M DONE

I've been thinking how to break the news to all of you. I'M DONE, I'M DONE, I'M DONE, * DANCING THE BOOGIE DANCE* I'M DONE with uni. Done with all the work load, I'm left with a report to hand in and a two months internship. So, basically I'M DONE! 

You can't imagine how happy I was, my family said my performance was satisfactory but the whole thing was a success. We did it, and without (Farsha, Sarsha, and mzmz) I would never ever have done anything. Love you all. And to all the volunteers who participated and helped us, thank you very much.

I might be talking and confusing you, well what has happened yesterday is that with my teammates, I presented our Capstone (Final Project). People congratulated us for the idea and the basically the whole thing. I think we deserve an A, lol. Yeah I do, we worked our asses off. Eg. on Sunday the 29th, we stayed at uni until 10 pm to work things out for the next day which was the big day.

No more blabbing, I will go celebrate on my own way,

Season for countdowns...

The reason I call it the season for countdowns is because many things are drawing to an end in this stage of my life. I was happy and still happy, I don't mind, it just hurts me that with every second passing, everything is just a memory from the past. It is not that I'm fussing about it, but wow, that's a huge step in front of me I don't know if I will ever be able to skip with a large jump. I do have instincts but I don't know my destiny. (My instincts are just for a short period of time, my sister has the sixth sense and she freaks me out so, il7imdillah I don't have it). Ne ways, back to the countdown.

- 2 more days for my final project to be submitted.
- 2 more months for the internship to be over.
In those coming two months, I will be done with ACADEMIA for I dunno how much time. (I have plans, lol)
- over the summer, it will be the countdown for the last summer break in my life, unless plan works.
- then the countdown draws to an end when I will decide to work, and if I found a job instantly.
- another countdown, is when I will turn 22,(my birthday) I'm becoming old, I wish I could stop at 21, it is so much fun to be young always.
- there are just so many things (some I can't speak up about).

Therefore, I'm facing a major change in my life. It is a bit scary, as you all know the Gemini me has a roller coaster type of personality but deep down is just a puddle of emotions. *I hear a voice in my ears saying -bottle up- right now, lol*

Ne ways, if you have countdowns in your life, feel free to share them.

PS: 3anooda, I read the note u posted on your blog about me not being able to drink the whole coffee, well don't worry it is not because u were sick and wiping your nose every second, it is because I have a small bladder, lol. *hugs* and yeah, who says my eyes disappear when I smile, huh huh huh? lol.

The 1st BAD impression!

Riiiiiiiiing Riiiiiiiiiiing Riiiiiiiiiing
I know this number but I was not sure who it was. I answered and it was the guy who was to interview me at 9:30 am on Thursday. He told me about the appointment on Sunday and I've been waiting for Thursday to come and I asked million people how to act on an interview. I even planned the outfit.
On Wednesday, I tried to sleep, I read two chapters of different books, I counted, I flipped on my bed but couldn't sleep until at 6 am the next day, the day of the interview.

So, riiiiiiiiing riiiiiiiiiing riiiiiiiiing.
(I will refer to caller as T)
T: hi, karamilah, where are you?
K (that's short for karamilah): hi.
T: it is T, it is 9:30.
K: what? Ok, I'm sorry T, I can't believe I slept, I had two alarms on and I heard non, I will be there in 30 mins.
T: ok, I'll be waiting for you, call me when you reach.
K: ok bye.

I was lucky, I had my outfit ready, I was lucky I showered the night before, but I felt sooooooooo tiny and ashamed of myself for not being on time. It was a very bad impression to give on ur first meeting with the people ur going to work with. Ahhhhh, wallah itfashalt.

I called my professor after that, and T had told her about me being late, but she assured me that they liked me and want me to work with them. That's good! But with a BAD first impression.

Baker Man

A week ago, my nieces came over for lunch and stayed to watch a movie. So, as a treat, I decided that we shall have some muffins + brownies. My little nephew, now 4 years I think, ne ways, so he was sitting on the counter and watching me mixing stuff. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he says, Karamilah (he doesn't even call me aunty) is BAKER MAN. I laughed my lungs out. He called me baker man. I just remembered after I saw the photos my niece uploaded on facebook, '3anoom is hilarious. I will try to voice record him sometime soon and post it over here.

Round of applause to them, and it is not that I don't like reading all of ur blogs, they are very good, maybe even better than mine, and I still can't really grasp the fact that there are people around who enjoy reading my blog. 

Now now now, I mentioned that I've been working on some hair treatment and yaaaay it is working, I'm starting to love my hair again. Few weeks ago, I felt so hopeless about it. I have a very frizzy hair, dry, pigments losing their color from time to time, mmm, think (il7imdillah- I always loved that about my hair) yet I have very weak roots. Ne ways, so, it is working, (Imagine me JUMPING). I'm just soooo happy about it. Ok, wayed itfasaft, bas I'm in love with my hair, haha, I don't like its natural yucky faded-out dark brown color, but I just love how it turned out to be. Maybe a new haircut would make me feel even better, a fringe (yeah, I'm the girl who would wear her hair backwards with nothing covering the forehead), or even color (which is still a big NO NO for me). Ok, I'm done, I'M IN LOVE WITH MY HAIR!

On the Bulletin Board:

- Guest book bought, farsha is coming over on Saturday and we are going to design it. 

- I mentioned that this month is so very hectic, it really is, since I leave home in the morning and come back late (ma'3reb), and all I feel is that I need to rest but I don't and I keep my mind working or else I feel lost. Allah y3eeny.

- I'm always HUNGRY, since I don't get to eat proper meals anymore. 

- I'm in love with my hair, mmm, haven't I said that already, lol. ok, heheh, lol.

CANCELLED

His car got cancelled. He got into an accident few days ago. Bless him he is alright. He called me right after the accident and screamed: "don't panic, don't go tell anyone, don't don't don't, I got into an accident." He scared the hell out of me and I thank god he is alright il7imdillah.

Other than that, I somehow am busy working on my final project. Everything is falling into place il7idmdillah, and I can't wait for the whole thing to be over.

- Introductory speech will be delivered by me and therefore, I'm working on it - yes, that's freaking me out.

Photo Blog Launched

Thank you people for the support, but the good news is that I launched my photo blog (karamilah in  pix) and I will be posting pictures more regularly inshallah. I'm still looking for the ultimate template which I couldn't find, I would so much like it if someone helped me find something good. Thank you all and I hope my photo blog will be as good as my blog itself.

Mini CHOCOLATE with CHOCO CHIPS muffins

Ok, I found this recipe a few days ago and I've been craving those muffins forever. I asked my maid (she is the nanny) to bake some for me, a few days ago and she said, it is late right now, I'm not making you anything. Swallowed the knot that formed in my throat and went to my room. So, anyways, since I like to procrastinate and I didn't want to do my job, I baked today and it turned YUMMY! Seems like I'll be having my own home based catering service company sometime in the future, lol, inshallah.

So, here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour 

6 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder

2 ts baking powder

1 ts vanilla

2/3 cup milk

2/3 cup butter (melted)

semisweet choco chips (optional)

Method:

1- Preheat oven to 350F or gas mark 4 (180 C)

2- Cupcakes paper cups in the tray.

3- Beat eggs > add sugar and beat together> add vanilla.

4- In another bowl, mix flour with baking powder.

5- Add flour mixture to eggs mixture and mix.

6- Add chocolate powder to mixture and mix.

7- Add the milk and mix.

8- With a spatula, fold in the melted butter.

9- Add the choco-chips if you want.

10- Bake for 25 minutes > poke with wooden stick or fork, if it comes out clean they are ready.

11- Serve hot they taste yummier, if cooled, heat in the microwave. (you can always serve them cold if you like them cold)

Hectic month

I somehow reached the point where I don't really know what to blog about anymore. However, bbing with Chinese Eyes and telling her how hectic this month is going to be for me, I thought why not talk about it. 

It starts with, WE STILL CAN'T FIND A SINGLE SPONSOR. I'm freaking out even more now, we don't need much, just 50 thousand dirhams, wallah, we pulled our faces enough for everything, speakers, sponsors and even answers (we had to run a survey today, imagine begging students to fill them out). Ne ways, so I hope inshallah very very soon, some company will agree to sponsor us, or we wont be able to have our conference. 

In few days I will be off for 3omrah, I can't wait, I need my heart to rest. I've been aching for a long time, since although I'm a blabber, I do bottle up a lot. I want to come back with no worries at all. Inshallah 5air.

On 3rd is Sarsha's B-day and on the 4th is Farsha's. I'm so sorry I can't make it to you b-days dears. wallah a7bkum, bas it just is the wrong timing. *Hugs* both of you, and may your wishes come true. Bd3eelkum ibrayel fil 3omrah, lol. 

My sister's and niece's graduation party is on the 20th, I don't have a dress. I want to wear a short dress, my sis suggests that I don't but if I don't find a long dress to my satisfaction, I'm going short dress. No color in mind, not yet. I found some at Reiss, Farsha suggested a fushia one.  I dunno, and all I know is that I have to find one quickly just not to freak out.

And I don't know if anything will pop up in the middle until the 30th when we will have our conference inshallah. Ya Allah Ya Rab everything goes well. Y5awef.
