an adventure at ski dubai

ready to go on an adventure at ski dubai, you better come with the group I went with. It started a week ago when my friend sent me a msg saying, shall we go to ski dubai. I was keen to the idea and started making my calls. So eager I waited for replies and by the end of the week, I couldn't stop thinking how everything would go.

Saturday morning - the day
Woke up at 7 (I don't wake up like that normally, I was still yawning and want to go back to bed) but I woke up. Went to the kitchen had my breakfast and then went back up to my room. I opened my cabinet, got my skiing gear (jacket, gloves, hat) then was deciding what outfit to wear. I couldn't make my mind, so went to my sister's room and grabbed her by the arm and told her to choose something. *thank god I have a sister*. Ne ways, after I got showered, dressed went downstairs to see my nephews already here. We kissed mom good morning and good bye and we left.

On the move, We arrived Dubai at about 11 o'clock, so my sister decided that we should do some family visiting. We passed my bro's house in Jumeira and then to my sis's house and then to aunt's house. It was torture waiting to go to Dubai even if you were supposed to pass by and say hi to your family when you already planned for a whole day at the mall (lunch, shopping, snowboarding, watch movie..etc). Ne ways, we were invited at my bro's house so we went back there. *lunch was delicious* but after lunch as a bit habbit we all have we have to drink tea. So my sister says "I want tea" when it was time to leave for our first ever snowboard lesson. We were like trying to grab her attention and tell her we have to go but she wont until she finishes the cup of tea in her hand.

We were there 2:3something, we got our lesson pass cards, then went to get snowboarding gears and to the snow school. I noticed that it was 3:15, I was like what, we were late. The Lesson starts at 3 sharp. I headed to the snow school and told the guy there what actually happened, we were late because the line was so long and there was only one guy giving stuff to people. He replied, "Well, you are late, I can't do anything, you lost your lesson." It drove me crazy. Then comes the English guy from the snow school, bless him, he took us to the instructor who is supposed to teach us. That rude instructor shouted back he wont and we were like no way. My friend and I made a whole scene and story for the English guy. We told him that we planned for it a week ago, we came all the way from AD just for this lesson, and we were so excited about it, how come he wont let us in, and btw *we told him* we already payed lool.

7lailah, he told us to go outside and stay at the snow school. He will try to figure something out for us. We went and waited for him. The lady there asked what happened we told her that the instructor doesn't want us to be part of the lesson. We asked if we can have another lesson the same day. She said "only at 7 or you can change you pass to ski and go skiing." We were reluctant, yet in seconds and the English guy comes and says "your lesson will start at 4. For now you will go to the snow park and before the lesson starts by 10 minutes you should be here." We agreed.

On our way to the snow park, there were two local guys working at the snow park entrance. We were trying to explain to them what happened and since the English guy said we don't have to get a pass for the snow park, we can have it for free. But, those two guys we so rude they wont listen. They kept shouting at us. Until 7lailah the English guy took us in. So, to make time pass quickly, we played the mats games fil snow park. When it was my turn on the ride, the local staff looked at my boots and said "those are snowboard boots, not for the snow park." I was like, "that is because we have a lesson in less than 30 minutes." and he laughed. I felt he knew what happened to us.

Ne ways, at 3:50 we went back to the snow school, and another instructor comes and says our story again so loud. We were so embarrassed. OMG, he didn't leave a single thing from what we said to the English guy. In the end the instructor was a good one. Eventually, we took our first lesson. But not only that it was a private one and we got a free pass for the snow park. How lucky we were, lool. We went hysterical all the time, being late, being shouted at, being laughed at, falling several times on my bottom *the only one who did fall like that*, falling side ways, me being the only goofy from the rest of the group. It was just hilarious, funny and fun.
Next week we have another lesson too. I hope we enjoy it as much as we did this week.

superstitions

Yesterday I was in my aunt's house and we were all sitting and chatting together when my sister decided to go have a look and ride with my cousin's new car. One of my cousin's daughters said, "batsafreen?" I replied, "no, I hope so, I would so much love to travel." Both of us looked at my pair of shoes, one on top of the other. I has always been a superstition that when this happens, it is assumed that the owner of the shoes is going to travel. I love our cultures superstitions "kharareef" as they call them. They lift my spirit and make me happy even if it was for a split second. Although I believe they never come true or they are just myths, but it always gives me a sense of how the old days were - when I weren't even born.

Today, I had a great time cleaning Bluey and giving her a nice warm shower. She was helping too. How much I miss her - didn't drive her around for about a month or so. N e ways, now she is clean and soon will be driven in the streets of AD - not allowed anywhere further lool. People think that I'm sometimes crazy coz I talk to Bluey and apologize to her. I know she can feel, she really does, she even confesses that to me sometimes. *It is always between the owner and the car.* I love you Bluey.

It is crazy, I've changed my layout again, but this time it will stay like this for a long time, except for the title *karamilah* which I will be changing depending on the occasion and my mood.
